Edison Festival of Light

As Southwest Florida’s largest and longest running festival, the Edison Festival of Light has been drawing tourists and locals alike for more than 80 years. Bring the whole family out to experience the fun events during this celebration of Thomas Edison’s birthday. STEMtastic Day of Discovery at the Lee County Public Education Center is the perfect way for kids to get involved in science, technology, engineering, math, and the arts. You can also take advantage of the food trucks and craft beer throughout the festival, and be sure to bring the family out to the parades, including the incredible Parade of Light!

Other fun activities during the festival include the classic car show, gala ball, Crafts on the River, Mutt Strut, and the 5K Fun Run. The Edison Festival of Light will take place over two weekends, February 8th through 9th and February 15th through 16th. LaBelle Swamp Cabbage Festival

Come out to celebrate the traditions and food of Old Florida at the LaBelle Swamp Cabbage Festival.

For 2020, the 54th year of the festival will have a Roarin’ 20’s theme, perfect for heading back in time and enjoying all the entertainment, food, and fun. Of course, there are tons of swamp cabbage dishes to sample from local restaurants, and you also won’t want to miss out on events like the Swamp Cabbage Pageant, Swamp Stomp 5K, Bass Tournament, Cattlemen’s Rodeo, or entertainment at Barron Park.

Everglades Seafood Festival

Everglades Seafood Festival is located in historic Everglades City, about an hour and a half drive from Fort Myers. The 2020 festival will take place on February 7th, 8th, and 9th. This is a great budget-friendly option for your vacation, as there is no entry charge!
