Del Tura
The Del Tura course is part of the Del Tura Country Club. This titular course weaves across 27 majestic holes. The clubhouse hosts periodic special tournaments for private or public use. While the Del Tura Country Club offers memberships, the Del Tura course is open, with partly restricted tee times, to the public. It ultimately brings you three 9-hole courses in one, divided as the “South Nine,” “West Nine,” and “North Nine.”

El Rio
El Rio Golf Club is a few blocks from a Publix in the near-direct heart of Fort Myers Beach. The course is popularly-known for its welcoming mix of play as well as its affordability. You can golf for the whole day for $18 walking and $26 riding. El Rio includes a slew of warm amenities, like a driving range and a gorgeous little clubhouse. The open putting green is great practice for eager beginners.

Herons Glen
Herons Glen has a number of excellent social group features outside of its championship-level golf. With 45,000 square feet, a ballroom dance floor, and a dedicated lounge, the clubhouse is both a feast for the eyes- and the stomach.
The course itself is a challenging 18-hole run through tough turf and dense Bermuda grasses. But you can always ease into the challenge by practicing with the 27 Turf-Hound hitting stations in the practice space or the 8100 square foot putting green and chipping area.
Between six tennis courts, multiple bocce ball courts, a card room, four pickleball courts, 12 places for shuffleboard, and a library, there’s a lot to love when visiting Herons Glen.

Lake Fairways
This resort community park and modest golf course is ideal for a low key game of golf along the gulf. Players can anticipate 3,000 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 60 and a slope rating of 77. Overall, this is a strong executive course with 18 fun and playful holes to cruise through.
The community is about 15 minutes from a main shopping district and just a short drive from Sanibel and Captiva islands. Lake Fairways is partly remote but still connected to the heart of North Fort Myers.

Pine Lakes
The Pine Lakes Country Club offers a brisk 18-hole course located at 10200 Pine Lakes Blvd. Seasoned golfers can expect a 61 par, 3,142 yard course with an 88 slope rating. The course is designed by Lakeland local Ron Garl. The course is open year round and is fitted with the classic Bermuda grass, a pretty putting green space, carts, and an on-site teaching professional.
River Bend
Fitted along the Caloosahatchee River, this home and boat community is a cozy little nook ideal for Fort Myers retirees. Many of the homes have a dock, offering direct access to the gulf. Temporary visitors can enjoy the full breadth of the community’s 212-acres of riverfront greens with 18 executive golf holes.
Sabal Springs
There’s a lot to appreciate about Sabal Springs’ quiet and reflective nook in North Fort Myers. Most importantly, is its executive-length, par 60 golf course. It’s varied enough to offer a sizable challenge for golfers moving up in their personal ranks.
The course is open to the public with a $35 price tag for 18 holes and $28 for 9 holes. Take advantage of the on-site golf professional, including individual instruction, equipment rental, and assistance in the pro shop.
