Florida Miracle

The Fort Myers Might Mussels, also known as Florida Miracle, are the local team in Fort Myers. The Class A Advanced team is the Minor League Baseball affiliate of the Minnesota Twins Major League Baseball Club.

The team moved to Fort Myers in 1992 and have qualified for the Florida State League Playoffs eight times.

With notable alumni such as Ferguson Jenkins, Eddie Murray and Cal Ripken Jr., the team is definitely worth seeing while you’re in Fort Myers.

The team is based at the Hammond Stadium at the Lee County Sports Complex year-round and there are tickets available for all games.

Boston Red Sox

Everyone has heard of the Boston Red Sox. Based in Boston, Massachusetts, the team is a member of the American League East division. They’ve won nine World Series championships. If you get a chance to see them in action, do not miss it.

The City of Palms Park is the Fort Myers stadium that served as the team’s spring training ground from 1993-2011. Now, the Red Sox train at JetBlue Park. Training begins on February 6th and runs for six weeks. Tickets are available for viewing games and training.

Minnesota Twins

This professional Minneapolis team is a member of the American League Central division. They’ve won three World Series titles and last year won 101 games, the most in their history since 1965! Their notable alumni include Bert Blyleven, Tony Olivia, Kirby Puckett and Rod Carew.

Box Office Hours

Spring Training sales begin on Saturday, January 11, 2020.

January 13 – February 1: Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and closed Sunday

February 3 – March 23: Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday – Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Box Office is also open during all Spring Training home games.

By car, Hammond Stadium is roughly 20 minutes south from Fort Myers and 30 minutes north of Bonita Springs.

Driving Directions

  • Take the I-75 to Exit 131
  • Drive west for two miles to Six Mile Cypress Parkway
  • Travel south for 1/2 a mile
  • The stadium is on the right

Parking

There are three parking entrances to the Complex, two from Six Mile Cypress Parkway, and one from Plantation Road. There are five pick up points for the shuttle to the stadium.
