Spend hours suntanning on white sandy beaches; take the kids shelling for a chance to find some beautiful, intact pieces; or go picnicking at Newton Park. These are among the most popular things to do in Fort Myers. Still, suppose you’re in the mood for something extraordinary and unusual. In that case, you can’t miss the Fort Myers Beach Haunted Pub Crawl.
About
If you enjoy pubs but want to do more than just bar-hopping, the Fort Myers Beach Haunted Pub Crawl is a suitable activity for you. It’s a one-of-a-kind historical haunted pub crawl, using magic to enhance the presentation. The tour guide takes you to the best locations around Fort Myers Beach bars to places where paranormal activities have been reported, or stories have been handed down over the years. They say that the spirits here are not just the ones in bottles, and it’s entirely possible for the tour to stir up visions of ghosts, poltergeists, and specters! The tour is a thrilling and chilling experience for all.
Leading your tour is an experienced magician and mentalist who is sensitive to messages from the other side. At several points in the tour, he will mystify with feats of paranormal magic. Some even claim he can read minds, make predictions, and move things telekinetically. Whatever your own experience, the pub crawl will undoubtedly be a memorable time! You also contribute to preserving local culture and history. All ticket sales also go towards the Estero Island (Fort Myers Beach) Historic Society.
What You Need to Know
As implied by the name, you will be “crawling” around the island with about half a mile of walking. Combined with the use of the public tram, it’s just enough exercise to get your blood pumping without overexerting yourself. The tour will take you to various establishments, though be aware that some bars are only beer, wine, and wine-based establishments.
You must be over 21 with a valid ID to go on the tour to participate in the tour. If you have kids, plan on a babysitter! Additionally, you will need to sign a waiver before touring haunted locations. Service dogs are the only animals permitted on tour. Ultimately, bars have the final say about animals entering their establishment. As there will be plenty of spirits on tour, you are asked not to come intoxicated beforehand!
Tours operate daily at 5:30 p.m., but they must be booked ahead of time by 2 p.m. Call for availability at (239) 440-2805, and when you book your tour, be sure to ask for the starting place because this changes daily. Because of COVID-19 restrictions, only groups of 9 or less are permitted until further notice.
