Folks come from far and wide to experience the heart and soul of Florida's cultural heritage at The 72nd annual Florida Folk Festival, a three-day festival held during Memorial Day weekend, from May 23rd- 25th, 2025. Located at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in White Springs, just a short drive from Jacksonville, this festival highlights the state's rich culture and heritage through its music, dance, stories, crafts, and culinary delights.
Across the Memorial Day weekend, over 300 performances will animate the essence of Florida's heritage. Visitors can embark on a shopping journey and engage with Florida's traditional and contemporary craftspeople. Enjoy culinary delights from collard greens and cornbread to chicken pilau, hoppin' john, shrimp gumbo, barbecue, curries, gyros, and the classic root beer floats.
You'll have a chance to connect with the masters who preserve these cultural traditions through jam sessions, demonstrations, and plenty of workshops. Try your hand at playing instruments like the mandolin, storytelling, or crafting pine needle baskets.
