The View
5 BR | 6 Full Baths | 1 Half Bath | Sleeps 15 | Ocean View
Where you'll be
Description
We’ll begin our tour of The View at the top - the third floor; home to the living room, dining area and kitchen. This beautifully furnished open space easily accommodates the whole gang. The dining table alone can seat 10, and four more people can belly up to the adjacent breakfast bar. A pair of sofas and a roomy armchair provide plush seating for watching a movie on the smart TV with cable or just relaxing between adventures. The sparkling kitchen, equipped with a full array of appliances, cookware, gadgets and tableware, has enough elbow room and counter space for several chefs to cook at the same time. And with up to 15 people in your party, you’re going to need it!
Thanks to the walls of picture windows, you can look out onto the ocean from just about anywhere on the third floor. Even better, you can step out onto the third-story balcony and immerse yourself in the views. Spanning the width of the house, it’s furnished with a table and chairs for alfresco dining along with chaises for lazing with a book and a drink; the crashing of the waves onto the sands is the perfect background music.
A dining table makes the lower level patio equally well suited for outdoor dining. You can cook on the patio too, courtesy of The View’s gas grill. Whether it’s fish you reeled in yourself or hot dogs from the supermarket, they’ll taste even better when barbecued out in the salt-kissed ocean air. The patio surrounds the in-ground pool, which includes a broad step for easy access. When you’re not swimming laps or splashing about with the kids, you can dry off in the sun while relaxing on a lounge chair or keep cool on the covered portion of the patio. Next to the pool is a pampering hot tub. While a soak is a treat anytime, it’s especially magical at night, beneath the canopy of stars.
Sliding glass doors connect the patio to the first-floor family room. Like the upstairs living room, it has a pair of sofas for sprawling out while you watch TV. The room also has a wet bar, so you don’t have to walk - or ride the elevator! - up to the third-floor kitchen when you want a drink or a snack.
All five bedrooms in The View have their own private bathroom, a smart TV and direct access to a balcony. You can step outside to watch the sunrise over the Atlantic, a not-to-be-missed sight, then return to bed. You can also slip out late at night to admire the moon’s reflection in the ocean without waking the others. Four of the bedrooms include a lofty king-size bed; the fifth bedroom has a trio of twin beds. What’s more, sofas in the living room and the family room open into queen-size beds. So there’s room for everyone.
Among The View’s numerous other amenities are free WiFi, a two-car garage and a huge driveway to accommodate multiple vehicles, and a washer and dryer. And let’s not forget its location: You can stroll from the house over the dunes to the sugary beach and the Atlantic Ocean whenever you want. Surf fish or paddleboard in the morning, canoe or kayak midday, collect seashells on St. Augustine Beach and toss the Frisbee before dinner and scan the surf for dolphins and whales anytime.
Should you want a change of pace from sea, sand and surf, you’ll find plenty to see and do nearby. Fort Matanzas, the Lightner Museum and historical downtown St. Augustine are among the attractions within a half-hour’s drive.
The View requires a one-week minimum stay, but you’ll want to relish its luxuries for far longer than that. Make your dream vacation a reality: Book your preferred dates today!

Great location for restaurants and ice cream and walks on the beach. Great beach towels and toys in the garage. We loved the house, but didn't like being ON the very busy public access walkway because of the lack of privacy. We Hated, Hated, Hated the barking dogs at 1 8th Street that started before 7am every morning and continued well after we were in bed at 9pm. Dog owners did not care. The dogs barked all day (whenever someone walked by, which was every 5 minutes a lot of the time), preventing quiet enjoyment of the property.

I wanted to thank you for staying with us, Paul. In addition, I wanted to inform future guests that the dogs you were referring to belonged to someone who was just temporarily staying and don't belong to any of my neighbors. Hope you'll give us another chance!
