Crescent Street 1138 A

Where you'll be
Description
That’s all thanks to Crescent Street’s prime location. A quiet, sandy walkway will take you to Crescent Beach, renowned for its shimmering quartz sand, and to Point of Rocks. This beautiful spot is popular with novice snorkelers for its relatively shallow water—and with snorkelers in general for its coral formations, fish, crabs, and even the occasional small octopus. When you’re not snorkeling, fishing, swimming or collecting shells, you can paddle-board, parasail, canoe, or kayak.
While Crescent Street’s location is reason enough to make it your Florida home away from home, the two-bedroom retreat has numerous other charms too. As soon as you drive up to the duplex, you’ll be won over by the leafy palm trees and well-manicured grounds (not to mention the ample parking). Head around to the back and you’ll find a beautifully paved area with a charcoal grill, plenty of chairs a table for alfresco dining, and perhaps best of all, a heated in-ground pool--just in case the gulf waters are a little too chilly for your liking. Please note, this heated pool is shared with next door's unit B.
The interior is just as delightful. With its tiled floor, soft color scheme, and large windows framed by shutters to keep out the midsummer heat, the airy living/dining area is everything you want in a Florida getaway. Curl up in the armchair with your tablet to take advantage of the free WiFi, gather everyone together on the well-cushioned couches to watch a movie on the 60” HDTV with the NFL package included, or sprawl out under the ceiling fan for a well-deserved nap—don’t feel shy; you’re on vacation!
Another benefit of Crescent Street’s locale is that there are numerous restaurants just a short walk or drive away. But sometimes, nothing beats a home-cooked meal and the spacious kitchen makes cooking a pleasure. It’s equipped with stainless-steel appliances, cookware, and tableware aplenty, plus loads of counter space. There is a handy kitchen table and chairs too, so you can enjoy some quiet time with a book and a snack while waiting for the dough to rise or the water to boil. When it’s time to dig in, bring your feast out to the roomy dining table, which seats 6 in comfort and style.
Catching up on your sleep is often a favorite part of a vacation, and Crescent Street’s two bedrooms make doing so a cinch. The primary bedroom has a king-sized bed and the guest bedroom has a queen-sized bed. Each has a flat-screen TV, a large window so you can wake up to the sunshine and the chirping of wrens and warblers, a ceiling fan, and flanking night stands with lamps—this way one of you can stay up reading while the other drifts to sleep. If you have additional overnight guests, the living room sofa converts to a queen-size bed, enabling Crescent Street 1138A to sleep six people in all.
When you arrive, you’ll find the beds neatly made up and plenty of freshly laundered towels in the bathroom. For even more convenience, there’s a private washer and dryer—given how often you’ll be jumping in and out of the pool and the gulf, that’ll come in handy for making sure you have enough swimwear for your stay!
A charming setting, comfortable furnishings, and a beyond-convenient location: Crescent Street 1138A has it all. So don’t miss out: Book your stay today, before someone else beats you to it!
Note: Crescent Street 1138 A is one-half of a duplex. The heated pool and grill area are shared with next door's Unit B.

+ The condo is spacious & the full kitchen and laundry is very convenient. The beds are comfortable. The block walk to the beach is pretty close & convenient. - We do not have many complaints except on the 1st night we pulled the blankets down to go to bed & there were a few larger dark hair clumpings from the previous guests who slept on the master bed. Also we would suggest putting a TV on the patio.

We really liked the location, quiet street, walking distance to great beach. The Orange Octopus Ice Cream Shop was our favorite place to walk to. In addition to kayaking in mangroves near Sarasota and checking out all the different beaches. The house itself - frustrating. Really stinks that the pool is on the other side of the house - not right out of the rental side so one can't see the kids and you feel like your intruding on neighbors if they are using it as it's not very big and it's fenced in on their side. On arrival, there was a dishwasher problem that didn't get fixed during our stay (we actually had to spend our first 15 minutes turning off the power to it from the breaker in a junction box outside - none were numbered so had to try each one), the tub didn't drain well, the fridge smelled of fish which was terrible. Received multiple messages from rental agency during our stay, one that they were going to have someone come to fix the dishwasher, but then they never came. And really, at that point, I didn't want someone in our rental unit with all of our stuff there. We already did all our dishes by hand and we had friends/family over that we haven't seen in 8 years so it would have been nice to not be doing dishes. It was hard to relax as it felt like we needed to attend to "home" fix it projects. TV power is on the wall switch and took us a while to figure out access to TV channels. I was sent a housekeeping survey on our first night, and I vented my frustrations, and no one ever actually contacted us about any of our concerns. We have stayed in a few VRBO places and this is one I wouldn't go back to.

With ample space and only a few minutes walk to the beach, this rental was perfect for our needs. Having a private washer, drier and ironing board was also especially convenient on nights where we needed to look nice.
