Welcome to 126 Coconut Drive, a unique, old Florida, comfortable, and private 3 bedroom, 2 bath single family home on stilts with heated swimming pool and lush tropical surroundings. The home has central air conditioning, as well as ceiling fans throughout, and decor is beachy/nautical. Its location is mid-way down the beautiful Estero Island, your tropical paradise that still maintains its small island charm, and away from the hustle and bustle of Times Square, thus affording quiet relaxation for that desired relaxing getaway. Beach access is about 5 houses away from Estero Boulevard, where just across the boulevard provides a 7-mile stretch of white, sugary sand beach, a place for daytime beach activities and to view the endless variety of evening sunsets. Let your imagination be your guide. In addition, one of the island's largest supermarkets and an upscale bistro on the bay is just a short car ride away. Trolley service along the boulevard is available to transport you to Times Square, with all of its restaurants, clubs, and night life. This home is equipped with all the amenities you are accustomed to at home, PLUS the tropical setting! Great effort has been made to make The Coconut Cottage a special vacation paradise, as evidenced by strategically placed wall-hangings, such as Cottage By The Sea, This House Runs On Island Time, and a big sign above the kitchen bar saying Beach, with an arrow pointing toward the beach. Upon arrival there is plenty of off-street parking with two covered parking spots beneath the home. The main entry to this home is up the stairs on the right, lit up at night by strategically located solar lighting, to a front deck with deck chairs and cocktail table. Entering through the front door brings you into the open and airy living, dining, and kitchen areas. There is wood flooring throughout, except for tile in the bathrooms and kitchen. Immediately to the right of the front door is a combination bedroom/sitting room with privacy curtain. This area is nicely furnished with a bunk bed with drawers beneath, its own set of stairs to the upper bunk, with full size bed on the bottom and a single bed on the top. There is a sofa and windows looking out to the side of the property, as well as a storage chest and wall-mounted large flat screen TV above. Further back is a bathroom with walk-in shower, commode, and single-piece vanity with lavatory and storage beneath. Exiting the bathroom, to the right is a door which leads to an outer upper deck with stairway to the backyard and pool area. Back towards the front door and to the right is the living area, nicely furnished with an L-shaped sofa, end table and lamp, as well as coffee table, with window overlooking the front of the property. The adjacent dining area has a round table with four cushioned chairs, and there is also a buffet. In the dining area there is also a wall-mounted large flat screen TV facing the dining and living area. Next is the kitchen with plenty of granite counterspace and backsplash, as well as a granite peninsular bar with two barstools on the dining room side. There are plenty of cabinets, and all the necessary items to whip up a full course meal, or just coffee and toast in the morning. A Keurig coffee make will make your morning coffee a breeze. There is a rectangular stainless steel sink, above which is a window overlooking the back yard and pool area. Appliances include a range with self-cleaning oven, an above-range built-in microwave, a refrigerator/freezer, and a dishwahser. From the kitchen, back into the dining area and to the right is another bedroom, nicely furnished with a queen-size bed, night stands and lamp. Windows here overlook the rear and side of the property, and there is ample closet space. A door leads from here into an upgraded Jack and Jill bathroom, with very nicely tiled walk-in shower with sliding glass doors. There is a single-piece decorator vanity with lavatory and storage space beneath, as well as commode. A window in here also overlooks the side of the property. Moving on from the bathroom into the next bedroom, this again is nicely furnished with a queen-size bed, night stand, and double dresser with lamp, and ample closet space. Windows in this bedroom overlook the side and front of the home. From this bedroom we go back into the living and dining area and head towards the rear of the house through the kitchen or bedroom/sitting room. Exiting the rear door onto a deck with stairs takes you down to what will most likely be the focal point of your stay. This fenced backyard is like a tropical oasis, with coconut palms and privacy hedges lining the perimeter. There is a large pavered area with heated free-form swimming pool, surrounded by plenty of space with lounge chairs, chairs and cocktail tables, perfect for swimming and sun bathing. There is also a square patio table seating four, and for the barbecue enthusiast there is a gas grill. In addition there is a convenient outdoor partitioned off shower. Another plus for this property is a room beneath the home, accessed from either the front or through a gate from the backyard patio area, with full size washer and dryer. Just think, should you so desire you can leave for home with suitcases full of clean clothes. Estero Island has numerous restaurants and night life for your choosing, and you are in the middle of it all location-wise. Very closeby are the beach front Junkanoo Restaurant and Fresh Catch Restaurant. Water activities abound that include jet ski rentals, parasailing, fishing charters, dolphin and sunset tours, as well as other closeby things to do and places to visit. Sanibel Island, world famous for its sea shells, and Fort Myers with its Downtown River District, historic winter homes of Thomas Edison, Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone, lie not far to the north, while to the south is Lover's Key State Park, Bonita Springs, and Naples.
